This is a must have if your are a far cry 2 fan, and even if your not such a big far cry fan, I cant say i know a gamer who would knowck back extra far cry 2 maps and missions. The Full size far cry 2 fold out map will come in very handy, I used the same style map on GTA and i muct say it does really come in handy. Far Cry 2 release date is getting closer & closer, Now there are only a limited number of these available so you will need to get in fast.

” Diamonds are not forever in Far Cry 2, but they are persistent. In the single-player campaign, the precious stones are mined by the warring factions and sold to fund their civil war. In the multiplayer mode, blood diamonds are rewarded as persistent upgrades as you increase in rank and unlock new weapons. In both cases, diamonds fuel the explosive action of Ubisoft Montreal’s upcoming shooter.

We recently paid a visit to Ubisoft Montreal to finally get our hands on the four multiplayer game modes in Far Cry 2. In addition to Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch, you can also do battle in team-based Capture the Diamond–after all, if you had to choose between snatching a flag or a diamond, which would you go for? To win, you steal the enemy faction’s briefcase of diamonds from its headquarters and bring it back to your base. You can score a point only if your own diamonds are secure in your headquarters. The diamond carrier is easily identified on the map because each briefcase gives off bright green or red smoke, depending on which faction you play for. After a point is scored, a new briefcase will spawn. There are a few interesting strategies that play into this mode. One player grabbed the diamonds and hightailed it back to his base, but instead of scoring the point, he hid in a nearby hut. While the opposing team was off trying to hunt down the diamond carrier, his teammate stealthily made his way to the enemy headquarters, and waited for the carrier to score so he could grab the new briefcase when it respawned–dirty!

The final mode, Uprising, is a hybrid of VIP and a Battlefield-style point capture. There are three control points that can be captured only by each team’s captain. One team must capture all three points, after which the game will end when the other team’s captain is assassinated. This mode takes the most coordination and teamwork to succeed. Points must be defended after they are captured, and grabbing new points requires a carefully organized attack. In either case, your team will be spread thin across the entire map.

Whereas vehicles are more of a simple mode of transportation in the single-player game, they play a strategic role in multiplayer. Most vehicles (including the officially licensed Jeeps) can carry multiple passengers. In Capture the Diamond, we preferred to drive a Jeep with a mounted machine gun. One teammate manned the gun as another fired from the front passenger seat. When we reached the enemy base, both passengers ran out to capture the diamond, while we smoothly executed a three-point turn to get the Jeep ready for the return trip. We popped the hood and applied the monkey wrench to repair the engine, then sped away, this time with diamond in tow. One desert map featured a one-passenger dune buggy, whereas a mountain map had hang gliders perched on cliffs, which were perfect for reaching a capture point quickly in Uprising. In any case, cars and Jeeps can be quickly dispatched with a grenade or RPG, and nothing earns experience points faster than an exploding car full of rebel insurgents.

You receive experience for capturing points, sharing vehicles with friends, stealing diamonds, healing teammates, and, of course, capping fools. This experience improves your rank and it rewards conflict diamonds that can be spent on upgrading six different player classes: the commando, rebel, guerilla, sharpshooter, gunner, and saboteur. The only real difference between each class is the weapon loadout. The saboteur can unlock remote-controlled IEDs, perfect for planting next to your briefcase of diamonds. As soon as someone steals it, you hit the button. The commando is a balanced character who uses machine guns, and the rebel starts out with the powerful flamethrower. Each class has three levels of upgrades, and each costs one conflict diamond. You can upgrade any class, regardless of which class you played as in the past. Unfortunately, there are no personal-customization options such as costumes or camouflage, but there are 30 ranks and plenty of powerful weapons to unlock, such as the six-pack grenade launcher. The more you use an individual weapon, the more proficiency you gain, eventually unlocking field manuals and bandoliers that increase weapon accuracy, reliability, and ammunition quantity. You can swap out your weapon loadout or class in-between each respawn. If you want to play with the more advanced weaponry sooner, you can host a player match with friends in which you level up much faster than in ranked matches. Alas, all upgrades in player matches are lost when you leave the server.

Diamonds are a rebel insurgent

The 14 maps represented all of the environments from the single-player game, including jungle, savannah, desert, urban areas, and mountains. Some maps are small and encourage close-quarters combat in enclosed areas, whereas others are huge and perfect for vehicles as well as sniping. A great touch is the ability to change the time of day and play under the blazing sun or the cover of darkness, which drastically changes the gameplay experience on each map. And if you don’t like any of these maps, pop into the map editor and create your own. Each custom map will support all four game modes and up to 16 players.

As in the single-player campaign, you will have a health meter. Instead of using first-aid kits in multiplayer, you can hit a heal button that triggers a long-winded animation (for instance, digging a bullet out of your thigh with a knife). It’s best to find cover whenever you heal because the animation will take you out of the action for several seconds. If you do fall in the heat of battle, a teammate will have several seconds to run over and heal you. It’s always a fun strategy to shoot an enemy from cover, wait for his teammate to rush over, and then take them both out. It’s even more fun using remote mines. If you don’t have patience for such a maneuver, feel free to shoot a wounded player and kill him instantly.

In Far Cry 2, this is the only way to fly. Really.

Between the persistent upgrades and the map editor, multiplayer in Far Cry 2 is fairly deep.”

Now that is certainly a fair scoop, Far cry 2 is certainly looking to shape up as one of the best ever xbox 360 games for sure, the detail they have gone into is incredible, For a game “far cry 2,far cry2, farcry 2, farcry2″ that was not even considered for the console scene until early last year this is a very impresive effort.

Now that is a fair set of weapons, this would have to be up there with the best overal weapon sets. The far cry 2 weapons are going to be great fun to play with. Far cry 2 is going to be a huge hit this summer full credit should go to UBISOFT for taking this up to some of the other top notch games.

It is however only “YouTube” quality but it gives you a good indication of just what to expect. Far cry 2 dot org (US) will be implementing a video script shortly that will support HD streaming, far cry 2 really needs to be viewed in all its glory for you to get an understanding of just how great far cry 2 is going to be.

Ok now Please & i stress please take into account these are for far cry 2 (Very Low Settings) for the pc, now xbox, ps3, Nintendo wii settings will look a lot better i was simple posting these far cry 2 low settings so that your average pc user (average rig) would not be put of by the sexy photo’s that are going around regarding far cry 2. These photo’s are entry level settings but you can archive a playable state of far cry 2 game play at these settings without all the eye candy ( you could probably go alright too, as most are all going for looks these days and not the reason they are play ).

Anyhow when you compare these far cry 2 low quality pictures to our high defenition / HD far cry 2 images you can see a huge difference, But credit must be given to UBISOFT for such a great effort to involve all pc owners, Far Cry 2 not that long ago looked as it would need a (NERDY / HIGH END) system in order to run, Clearly that is not the case. We will keep you posted as soon as more far cry 2 information arises.

While the first shipment will for fill most current pre orders (a lot of smart people pre ordered far cry 2 very early) well it fill fill all current orders and still a few more, FarCry2.org (i.e. us) have hooked up with gamestop & as premium partners we can confirm will we be able to supply all demand. Good luck with your testing of far cry 2. We do feel that come the final release of far cry 2 and maybe in future far cry 2 patch / patches that the requirements will drop a little as far cry 2 is optimised even more.

The sequel features reduced SF elements compared to the original Far Cry, where you were fighting mutants. They decided this time around to rid the mutants (good to hear as most games these days focus to much on sci-fi) , Instead you’ll be fighting heavy arms dealers located in hidden  wilderness areas in Africa, and personally i think this story is very fitting with what goes on over in that side of the world, we lack knowledge of the real dealings over that way.. Anyway this topic was more or less to discuss the Far Cry 2 system requirements so lets get onto that shall we…

The reason i gave a quick mention about the original far cry & not Far Cry 2 was simply the fact the the game has many followers and even today 4 years later it remains very active.. Now like all good things they do start to slow down & even come to an end, and with the release of far cry 2 we are going to see the original far cry servers lose a lot of players (basically meaning most server admins will move onto far cry 2).

Now for the bad news, well not all that bad but lets just say not great news, Far Cry 2 is going to demand a lot of system resources (Were not going to lie) You are going to need to have a fairly recent PC (In case your looking at playing this a console you can skip this article) maybe not so much a new pc but anything older than 18 months is going to struggle, some of you will be able to do a simple video card upgrade & others will need a new system, Vista (its not a swear word anymore) yes Vista is going to be required also to get the most out of this game. The good news is that computer components prices are dropping like flies at the moment as there is so much competition and also the fact its that time of year (XMAS).

Now Far Cry 2 is optimized for not only dual core but far cry 2 can make use of a quad core processor (one of the many few apps / games designed to do so) so with the next set up i suggest to will need daddys wallet lol or have been saving your pennies for a while.. lol nah not really that bad.

Now the above systems were chosen on best bang for buck ratio, most of your are aware of overclocking (most companies promote it these days) and if not you can always look into it in the future. Far Cry 2 will run just fine on either of the systems / parts i have suggested, we could debate all day whats best and whats not, I am only trying to better inform the members / visitors of this far cry 2 website so that they have a general understanding of what you will need to get far cry 2 running with too many issues.

When quoting prices for this i checked several vendors and found that TigerDirect is still the cheapest supplier as they do buy in bulk & i have been dealing with them for many years now and have found them to be nothing short of outstanding.

Now I stress to you: Please check & confirm that your system meets the standards to get far cry 2 up and running, as most developers do lower the minimum requirements to increase their sales and its the general gamer who suffers and is forced to upgrade.

Ok well here is a brief run down of what we intent to do with this site & the features we will be implementing:

As fellow gamers we intend on setting up the largest far cry 2 community, far cry2 is going to be one kick ass game thats for sure and its about time people had a better choice of games and far cry 2 will deliver that for certain. Now over the coming weeks (but in time for the release date for far cry 2) we will be adding these features:

-Clan-TV (much the same as our YooClips.com website, but dedicated to far cry 2 player & clans)

-Clan Website hosting

-Private / Clan servers to rent

-Game Server Tool (So you can hunt down your far cry 2 friends / clan members)

Far Cry 2 is a game that many predict will out last most others, So lets hope we can pull some people out of battlefield 2, Quake wars, TF2, call of duty world at war & all the other games people love, lets create a huge friendly far cry 2 community for all to enjoy.
